chassis colours

I'd go light grey if was doing again, can see any grime to wash off and someone on here did the axels in it and it looked really good

my axles are grey looks mint ,,,,I'm only 24" tall though so most stuff looks mint

what make paint did you use on your axles?

Silver looks great. The only thing I would say, is that it may attract unwanted attention. My pal painted his new galvanised chassis black as soon as it was delivered -his thoughts being he didn't want to advertise the fact there was a perfect £2k chassis there with no VIN stamped on it...

I done mine in DAF Grey looks great

Did it peel/fall/wear off just like on the Dafs

think i'v seen your pics,does look good,i think i may go down the enamel route on the chassis but im leaning towards raptor on the axles and rods,im also going to send the axles of to get galvanised

what would you lot go for enamel,2pac or a proper chassis paint?

hi i used por 15 4 stage paint silver and overpainted with silver hammerite it seems ok

thats unerneath alot of work though

wow allan that looks lovely,i have seen that por 15 silver does it need overcoating was thinking of just that then maybe a clear waxoyle

Hi have a look on frost products. the p o r 15 on thier site but do follow the instructions and prepwork is the key. As a few people have not .and it peeled off. You have to rub it down then use thier cleaner its good.then thier metal prep and i used the direct to metal paint and then topcoat. And i gave it 2 coats of hammerite on top. . But dinitrol , waxoil is fine

ok ill check that out,im waiten for a galvanised chassis so only need to degrease then etch prime,but im going for a silver colour,was thinking of white but was told it can look cak after a while
