I thought it might be refreshing for some to have a positive post on here for a change so here goes....
Just a quick post to report to all you sceptics out there that in spite of all the warnings and the tails of woe that I've been dreading, after 4 weeks of ownership my 2008 L322 TDV8 (3.6) is still running smoothly.
However I did take it to McDonald's Automotive (local Landy specialists) to have the transmission flushed as a precaution. Good job I did because the fluid was burnt and black so although I've had no issues I think I probably came pretty close. I only took it because I've had previous experience with ZF "filled for life" (bull****) transmissions.
I've changed all the interior bulbs, front side light bulbs and number plate bulbs to LEDs and the boot is now Boerboel proof with a decent grill and load liner. Next job is to change the main beam halogens for some white ones and find LED replacements for indicators and rear bulbs.
Whilst on the subject does anyone know how to change the puddle lights in the mirrors please? (I have done a preliminary search to no avail but if you know for a fact that theres a thread on the subject then if you let me know I'll delve deeper).

4 weeks? Pfft, come back the second your warranty expires. That is when they like to throw up the big faults.

Are you going to start a new thread every few weeks? Whilst it is great that you are enjoying your first few weeks, could you not have posted this in your earlier thread? https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/so-far-so-good.321226/#post-4090478
The "warnings and tales of woe" , as you call them were partially tongue in cheek but in the main they were owners trying to help you realise what is coming.
We are sceptical because we know the vehicles and their foibles. Enjoy the good times, which, when the L322 is going well, are really good.Your cockiness will be your downfall but luckily the people who tried to warn you, will be here to help you ;) :D

Yes I may start a new thread every few weeks. Is this a problem for you? I appreciate the tongue in cheek posts in the past. It's a shame you can't do the same when I post something meant to be taken in the same vain.
However I will try to remember that in future I must only post very serious things. (Or maybe I'll just post what I'd like)

I think you will find "gold rover" more than willing to have the crack, like he did in the previous post, but it went slightly over your head.... dry humor springs to mind
