Good day all...I am new to this forum. I am in the process of reconditioning/ restoring a Disco1 V8. Bought it on Ebay from a farmer in Wiltshire. It is very original, with a good interior. All welding now nearly completed. Recon V8 will be installed next month. I would like to keep this car as original as possible. The body is in reasonable condition with some corrosion here and there.... Once that's been dealt with as well, I am considering to spray paint the body in a grey/white combination Raptor paint from U-Pol. I've seen this several times in Landy Magazines and the rough effect of this paint places emphasis on the ruggedness of the vehicle....I guess. However....come to sell it in the future.....would this type of coating have an adverse effect on value? I would like to read member's opinion about this.

It might not have a effect on the resale value but it might affect how many people want to buy it. I guess if you prepare the vehicle for off road use it will look in keeping but if you want it as a road only car, it will look a bit odd. Horses for courses.

Thanks Col, much appreciated. I am tempted to prepare the Disco1 also for offroad. In that case I shall proceed with the Raptor spray job because it's a durable coating and a lot cheaper than a proper metallic spray job.
