Passed MOT with just an advisory on the 'anti roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover deteriorated'. The garage also cut out the non return valve on the windscreen wash as it was a fail and didnt charge me. Also standard yearly advisory of oil leaks.

I drove it measured up some jobs.
Swore at people on the road.
Put diesel in.
Swore some more.
Bashed my head on the top tailgate.
Dropped my McDonald's burger on the floor.
Apart from that just another care free day in the rangie

I know how to park it to replace the blade but no idea how to get the tailgate spoiler off so I can undo the nut on the arm. All suggestions welcome!

You don't remove the tailgate spoiler you just remove the nut. Remove plastic nut cover, remove nut, remove arm.

I was going to say I am sure Wammers will know how to do it, and as by magic the post appears as I am typing.
the post appears as I am typing.It didn't look like there was enough room to get it off so I assumed the cover had to come off. Also, the nut looks pretty rusty so I was hoping to use a socket rather than a spanner.
I think I'll give it a couple of days of soaking in WD40 before I try to undo it.

Try plus gas ,other penetrating oils are available.

Try plus gas. WD40 in the blue can is NOT a penetrating fluid. It is a moisture repellent.
According to WD40'S own website, it's good for freeing rusted parts.
To be fair, on the farm, anything doused in enough hydrocarbon based product for long enough would release. Maybe plusgas is better but I don't have any and WD40 has always worked well for me as a penetrant.

WD40 was originally developed to provide a barrier to moisture on rocket nose cones. WD40 (Water displacement) 40th formula. That is why it was called WD40 Rocket. Sprayed on it dries and leaves a water repellent film. WD40 as a company do make penetrating fluid the one in the blue can is not it.
