Ok, Ive checked my definitive guide to the P38 by James Taylor and searched my Microcat, but cannot find any reference to a TV. Can you post a picture ?

I have a 1998 Vogue 50 and TV (analogue of course) was fitted as standard. It's a Sony system. The gubbins is all fitted behind the CD changer/woofer assembly in the near side in the boot. The system in mine is all a bit basic and a bit 'hand made' to get it to work with the stereo but work it does until we all go digital. The antenna (or aerial to all you old radio buffs) is two sections of wire stuck to the nearside window in the boot. As an aside, a wonderful piece of Land Rover 'engineering' was to fit the Sony screens in the headrests - and then to fit nice looking surrounds to finish the job which then obsured the infra red receptors in the screens. So, to operate the TV etc with the remote, you first have to remove the (albeit very nice leather) surround, twiddle away, and then replace the surround. They couldn't have done it better if they'd thought about it......

Thanks Derek
I didnt whant to start taking the interia apart without a good idea of where it all was and cheers to all of the rest of you for some interesting and sometimes informative coments.

Thanks Again

The TV in my P38 (Holland & Holland) has lost most of the channels. Still gets a few but these will be gone by November when the digital system takes over. The unit (TV Diversity analogue Tuner) was found in the rear on the drivers side (UK) behind the Sat Nav CD unit. After a bit of research I have plumpt for a CKO 1080 Digital tuner to replace the old one - haven't fitted it yet but the spec indicates it should be far better than the old with full freeview channels. Had to buy two (dogs thingies) roof aerials for best reception. I got mine from Russel on 0131 555 7040 if you want the same?

Mine is a 2000 car has an Alpine distribution box with mode switches in the rear. It runs a VHS Player a 10 stack DVD player, the TV and sony 2 playstation on two rear headrest screens and sound via infra-red headsets or sound via the radio system. Sat Nav is on the front screen only. Bluetooth takes care of any mobile phone so equiped for hands free. Shame I have to drive the car its more fun in the back!

I wonder if you will pick up digital TV on the move, Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) radio is bad enough when moving? TV I would have thought would be even more of a problem, I'll be interested to hear if it works.

I am assured that it will work very well on the move - do a google CKO 1080

Packed with the latest digital enhancements and components, this hideaway TV Tuner will provide you with endless pleasure and entertainment in your car. The unit houses a twin diversity receiver giving a steady and clear picture whilst on the move (depends if you have digital coverage in your area). As well as being a hideaway unit, for ease of installation, the product also boasts:-

Automatic tuning search
Improved reception at high speeds
Electronic program guides
Subtitle support
Four video outputs
Remote control with remote IR eye.

The product can also receive all of the free to air digital radio channels giving the user DAB and DVB-T all from one box. The unit comes complete with everything you need to install it straight from the box and is ready for immediate delivery.Whatever screen source you are using; roof monitor, in-dash monitor, headrest monitors or a separate on-dash monitor, as long as they have AV inputs, this unit will provide you with exactly "what it says on the tin" free view TV to enjoy
