L322 2004 TD Auto - Tow Bracket? Can anyone identify what I have?

HI,

I have tow bar sides fitted to the chassis with bolts but no central bar/ connector? The part I have is Landrover Part no KPU000032
Westfalia part no 323 055 600 003.
I am thinking there is a bolt on ? clamp on and lock? that straddles the two sides?

I have attached a pic showing one of the sides

Any help identifying what Parts I have and what and where I could get them from

sorry bud cant help you there, have you tried eBay of all places. They aren't so expensive now with the competition around. Unless you want the genuine article? Your call on the budget!!

Hi thanks for reply. The main thing I am stuck with - is what have i actually got fitted and what do I add to it?

does it have any witness marks where anything else has been removed from the body other than the main bar?
if there are no other bolt holes or any brackets missing, there should just be a main bar that joins the two side brackets together with the plates in the middle for the tow ball assembly!!

No marks at all. I looks like nothing has been fitted. I am wondering / guessing that the main bar and the plate for the tow bar as you say was never fitted and I hope it is a part that is available to buy. I did email Westfalia but they never replied - Thanks

I found this, it looks like there are two brackets that go up behind the bumper!!

That would make sense - great but the box section bar looks like it is welded to the side bits. I was hoping it was bolts / twist lock?

can you see any other holes on your brackets where this bar may bolt on. Normally the center bar is bolted to the sides to allow easy fitting before it all gets tighten up!

just been and had a look. No holes at all just that notched hole on the pic I posted?????

weird, tried a search and possibly discontinued model, there is model with a detachable neck/ tow ball plate!

try these buggers!

Found this now !! looks like this is the bit just how it fits!!!

The OE tow bar is the same as the one in the attached picture in the quote below. To fit the OE tow bar you need to remove the bracket you have photographed and the same bracket on the other side of the car. The legs on the OE tow bar replace the brackets. NB the 2002-2006 tow bar has a different exhaust mount to the 2006-2010 tow bar. OE tow bar is pretty easy to fit, only problem is its weight

Had these on mine, binned them and fitted an aftermarket affair.
