Hi as anyone had or know anything about the benefits if any of having the ecu remapped on a FL2 2,2 TD4.i Have just been speaking with a local guy that does this and has 100,s of satisfied customers and he says he could give me 10mpg more and 40 bhp more and more torque.Whats your thoughts.I,m a bit sceptical but looking at the feedback people are well happy.I even private messaged a chap who said its 100% genuine ???

10 mpg more and 40 BHP more plus more torque he is talking out of his arse. More BHP and more torque means injecting more fuel it cannot be done any other way. On a long steady run at a reasonably constant speed in torque lock you you may get a few MPG more because of more linear mapping. 10 MPG gain would maybe extreme maybe 3 or 4, But if you use the torque and BHP in normal driving, stop start urban areas you WILL use more fuel.

I agree with Wammers. You can't get more power and more torque, without putting in more fuel. More fuel means lower MPG, not more.
