Hi

I went for a kit that included filters from Coopers , Mahle and Mann, a little more expensive but known brands.

whether better or not, I cannot say.

Cheers

The good thing about the oem, britpart and bearmach oil filters is that they can be undone easily with the little filter spanner. Although the one fitted came off easily with oil filter pliers.

The "make" of the filter has very little to do it. If they're changed regularly then you shouldn't have any trouble.
Here in South Wales was one of the country's largest filter maker; Fram Filters. They made filters for any number of different suppliers. When line changed from one maker to another, guess what? They just changed the name on the can and packaging.
There just aren't that many individual filter makers in the UK, or the EU coming to think of it.

I used to work for Quinton Hazell and I remember using a little hand grinder to remove our logo from water pumps so Fords could sell them as motaquip spares. We used to supply Land rover. We made the brackets and water pumps and the power steering pumps were supplied from Kent. We sent 'pegasus' pumps to Kent where they must have done something similar. We also made supplied pumps for production lines for Nissan, Jaguar and Vauxhall.
