I live in Texas and have a RHD, 110, Ex-MOD that has been fully restored, painted and set for expedition use. I have a plan and what to see how practical it is. This plan is to import my 110 back home to the UK and green lane from Lands End to John O' Groats. I know that this cannot be done contiguous, but should be able to do in a high percentage. I have looked at a website that sells the OS Landranger maps, but without in-depth knowledge of the UK it is at first start difficult to start choosing the maps needed for the front end of the adventure. Also has this been done before? When and by who/whom?
Any information, opinion or assistance in planning this adventure is welcome.

No problem mate. Will just have to use the two lane roads and lanes in the Highlands and then along the cost to John O' Groats. Thanks for the information. Will save money not to by the Landranger maps for Scotland.

Before splashing out on OS paper maps try using the OS website https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/ to plan your route. It's not expensive for an annual subscription to view the whole UK at 1:25000 and that way you can work out exactly which sheets to buy should you need to.
Also consider joining GLASS so that you can access the full functionality of Trailwise http://www.trailwise.org.uk/ which will show you the legal lanes along your planned route.

Really appreciate this good advice. Will do. Thanks.
