Any ideas how to get rid of these sticker marks? I would like to do a full respray eventually, but need to sort out some more pressing issues like the rear crossmember. Just want to tidy it up a bit till then.

After I get rid of it I'll polish it up and will look fine till the respray.

Cheers!

Try white spirit somewhere like under a door first just to test to see if the paint will hold, might work.
Might be faded as well so it might never go.

Autoglym intensive tar remover to remove the actual residue. And then buy a slow start "big angle grinder" style 240v polisher, Farecla G3 polish used with plenty water...keep the mop wet. It will remove the discolouration.

Same truck, same paint and an hour or so with a machine polish (OK and a year of tinkering and modifying too...)

That's a very good lucking vehicle that you have now and little resemblance to the original.

But it's a bit like the before and afters in the women's shampoo ads. The first image is backed up with a natural setting, whereas the second is on an immaculate gravel drive, complete with up market pad!

You have done a great job with the car and the imagery.

Be steady with. Orbital polisher as its very easy to strike through the laqor / clear cote a da machine is best for the first time use. The G3 is good stuff just take it easy on panel edges

Spent about an hour and a half working on the bonnet, front wing and door.... here are the results.

I also discovered that a petrol pump loyalty card is a superb scraper! I'll give it a machine polish once I get rid of the glue residue.'
