Hdc is not working

hey guys im new here i have a 2002 freelander td4 and my hdc is not working first of all i thought it was the switch and i checked and one of the wires had snapped of so i fixed that and i checked if the switch was getting power and it was. so i then tested the hdc and im not getting the green light on the dash

any ideas

Request posted on November 2014 and no answer? Are you a unique case? I guess not since I'm currently going thru the same. I checked the relay R3 in the engine relay box and fondled it in order to go around bad contact. No better result. Looking desperately for ideas and / or advise. The case is different from the ones in other forum since the yellow HDC light on the dashboard does not go off. When turning the ignition key, both green and yellow go off. When the engine runs, no light at all.
