Very successful day today! :D Got both repair panels in (after I drilled one wrong ) pretty easy to do in the end, just time consuming! Shockingly got the seat bracket holes bang on first time!

Couldnt get any rivets in down the bottom, so a double layer of Sikaflex.

Just drying now and can get the fatmat and foam in during the week!

Also picked up this stuff -

Had some excellent reviews. The idea is it should keep the alloys clean, even off road in the mud so should look pretty cool

They are shiny!

Time consuming as they need at least 3 coats! Hopefully its worth it...

Funny you should say that my boss is having his car done with it at Apm Customs
never heard of the stuff until today, the loan car they give him has been done in it, very impressive
but at £600 plus vat i guess it should be

Yes it's awesome stuff I do detailing part time the best thing out is gtechniq g1 you have to see it to beleave it the key is to be squeaky clean be fore application

Hmmmm interesting! I'll definitely try this next time if the Poorboys ends up being ****e, but hey its what i've got for now! Second coat is on, shall do the 3rd or 4th coat during the week.

Hard evenings work, the repair to the rear seat box is complete! Fully soundproofed and carpet replaced, however my drawer doesnt seem to fit anymore :confused: luckily an old mate of mine has started woodworking business/workshop. Hes a chippy by trade so should be able to help me out building a fully custom wood drawer system, which actually fits...

Even though I havnt got a snorkel fitted yet I am going to pull the air intake out and seal it up, more of a just in case. Worth doing?

Also going to spray the various carpeted areas with some hydrophobic spray, often used to protect shoes and the like should do the same thing in the 110, at least make it easier to clean....

As for bumpers I think I have narrowed it down to the Equipe 4x4 Modular Bumper or the HD Winch Bumper from TP4x4 with some custom additions.

The Equipe bumper while expensive is pretty unique and I've only seen one once in person so adds to the uniqueness of it. Would see if I can mount my Lightforce spots either side of the winch like below without it looking stupid, if not then a lightbar across the top of the winch would look good too.

TP 4x4 Bumper, though mine would be without the fog lights and with an A-Bar, what puts my off is it looks like it sits very low and far forward which would make for a poor approach angle.

110 is finally back together! 3rd coat of wheel sealant is on, even did a little sound matting in the front foot well.

Fitted a sneaky 12v socket in the door pillar, fits perfectly and doesnt get caught on the seat

Got some proper off roading in over the weekend at a Pay & Play in Sittingbourne. Not a bad site but thick with clay so quite challenging and a pain to clean!

110 did perform brilliantly though, TC isn't bad, took some getting used to but worked well. Not sure my 90 would have made some of the hills without the TC to be honest. The STT Pros where excellent, miles better than the old STTs.

Got stuck quite dramatically and lost my rear mud flaps! Found them but still annoying

Not so lightweight Bowlers anymore! hahahaha

After some winching I made it out! The overhang on the rear was stuck on the bank and the tyres where too full of clay to climb up the other side, lucky I did as I may have damaged the rear end! Still getting used to the length of this one

Someone got stuck, got winched out, exhaust dug in and wrapped round the axle!

Overall a pretty good day! No real breakages bar the loss of the rear mudflaps, I did manage to damage a track rod end which gave some pretty rickety steering on the way home and naturally the tracking is out.

Driving home was bloody frighting, could not get that clay out off the wheels with what I had and going above 30 made the entire landy shake as if it was going to fall apart, not to mention I had very little control over steering. Luckily found a services with a jetwash, managed to get it off the wheels and get home.

Did get some scratches though :( misjudged the width of a couple runs, got to get used to the width as well! Not too bad though should be able to get em out with some T-Cut :D

When I got home I noticed a pretty severe oil leak, immediate panic sets in "have I cracked the sump!? or something worse!" All I knew was it that it was coming down from the turbo side of the engine

5 minutes -

12 hours -

Pulled the turbo off, cleaned everything up and so far it looks like the gasket between the turbo and drain has failed. New gasket en route and I polished up the mating face of the oil drain as it was pretty mucky and not at all smooth.

While searching for the oil leak I did notice the f*cking EGR blank plate is leaking, me thinking 'oh no this time it will be different, it wont leak' I stupidly used the allen head bolts which has now obviously rounded its head :confused::mad:.... So manifold off, or painstakingly hammer a torx in there. Why didnt I use a normal bolt! The leak isnt too bad so may leave it for now...

Sadly, even though I am a fan of Terrafirmas suspension, their paint is shocking. ONE jetwash and at least 50% of the paint has come off the springs, 24 hour salt spray my ass. The springs on the 90 however, year old, many jetwashes no problems!

My advice would be, if you fit TF springs give them 2 coats of Plastidip or similar.

Rather and try and fail to replace the broken trackrod end I bought some Raptor 4x4 HD track rods, easier to replace and will make getting the tracking straight much easier.

HD Track Rods arrived from Raptor 4x4 (not bad for £98 delivered!) However missing the left hand lock nut!:mad::mad: So for now I can only fit the rear/long trackrod.

Turbo/drain gasket should arrive tomorrow so hopefully getting it running again tomorrow! :D

looking good mate and seems ur having so much fun,

i wonder if my disco saw that amount of mud, it would scream and run for the hills, lol

don't think it would have stood a chance

trying to remember did u fit or going to put any airlockers on the front diff or am i thinking of another landy rebuild

Got this one, who knows if its any good! Will update.

Same, my idea was to cable tie the camera and the mount to the landy with some kind of safety cord. That and spraying the case bright yellow make it easier to find

When I stuck my go pro on the outside of mine with the suction cup mount I tied a piece of sting around it and the door handle just in case it fell off.

Pretty successful day!!!

Oil leak is solved, it was the turbo drain gasket. New non metal gasket fitted and done up bloody tight.

Long HD track rod is fitted, just waiting for the other lock nut to arrive to fit the short track rod. Then get the tracking done, hopefully Friday...

Gave it another spray with the jet wash and the ****er still aint clean! I give up! lol
