2door Range Rover (brakes)lla

good afternoon to all
I am restoring a 2door classic Range Rover 1983 have renewed disc's,calliper's and all the brake pipes.
I have bled the brakes with pressure from master cylinder but have not get a very good peddle.
Can anybody tell me if this is due to a bad servo as it has been standing for about 15 years. I know they are very difficult to bleed but I am concerned if the servo has perished
Brakes work but very spongy I do realise that it could mean they need rebleeding

I would have thought u would have renewed the master cylinder also, or at least renew the seals, any reason for not doing either?
The servo is only there to assist the operating of the brakes, if you have to 'stand on the pedal' to operate the brakes then the servo or vacuum supply to it is faulty.

Servo does not affect the bleeding or pedal height.
With engine running it will increase pressure on the brakes and pedal will go lower.
Bleed again and then keep pressure on system and look at the whole braking system in the same way an mot inspector would.
This will show any leaks or flexi problems.
We need pics of the rrc as it is always good to see a restoration in progress.

Stood for 15 years....long term resto?

They can take quite a bit of bleeding but you should have a good pedal regardless of the servo. I usually do the split on the front first.
Did you change all the flexies.

I have replaced ever thing except master cylinder and servo. I have not been restoring it for 15 years,I took it of the road then started it just over 2 years ago. Have striped it down to chassis, shot blasted it fitted a new cross member in to the rear of the chassis which I had made and patched 1or 2 small holes in the usual places. The body was the worst had to do quite a lot of work on that
