Clutch

Hi just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder on a 02 freelander td4, not getting any feel in the pedal and no gear selection, have bled down the way pumping the pedal and reverse bled too, I've disconnected the pipe to check the master cylinder and the pedal goes rock solid as it should be! Any ideas would be great. Thinking I may have to rip it all apart again!

It is possible that pedal doesn't push master cyl full travel, so not all the air is displaced

Di you fit the clutch the right way round?

See my thread on this - it involves pushing all air out of master - cannot be done with pedal.

I've had the gearbox off again to make sure all was right and it is.
