hello!
SIII SWB 1972.

I've just installed a very expensive set of points. As I was leaning in to set the gap. I punctured the back of my newish radiator with a light press from a screwdriver!

My original rad was blocked, so got a plastic and aluminium one fitted. Turns out it's pretty feeble. I would imagine a stone chip could've punctured it too.

Anyone fitted a new radiator they've been impressed with? Who made it?!

Haven't got the original one, so can't have that recored. Would consider a recored one but only if tested and guaranteed.

Cheers

I have just fitted a Champion plastic/ally rad. Seems OK for the price.
Still have the original leaking one, waiting for a trip to the tip.

I replaced mine with a Brit****e one. See Bobsticle's recent post. Mine took some fettling to fit, with one bolt hole out of alignment. Cost I recall around £140 including new hoses' n Jubilee clips. Took an evening to swap out, not too bad a job.

Got mine from fleabay genuine Bearmach. I had to separate the rad from the surrounding frame, fit the frame then bend the top out slide the rad in from the top and bend the top back in as holes wouldn't line us an assembly, but separating the frame first solved that.

I never fit anything that comes in a blue box!

i had an old 4 core radiator, and i was going to scrap it, instead i took it to the scrap metal yard and got $18 for it as it is copper and brass.

Tony.
