Quick question
I'm about to do rear crossmember on my 1987 110 200tdi. I'm looking to take the rear loom out of the chassis rail, I figured it's probably been in there since birth , so I will treat it to new wire. Will eventually do whole vehicle as the dreaded scotchlock disease seems to have spread everywhere. But does anyone know what size ( not length) wire I need
I read somewhere

"I think the standard light fittings use 14/0.3 8.75amps."

Does this sound correct ?
Or am I better stepping up in size ?
Rear lights are standard atm but possible led later on

Thanks

Thanks sea dog. Great links . I'll look at some 16a thin wall then and cover it in pvc sheathing stuff . Then I'll re route along top of chassis rail, inside some armoured copex stuff from work .
Thanks

Would be worth trying to get wires of the same colour so As to make future troubleshooting etc easier.

Have you considered buying a ready made loom from autosparks or someone? They can make pretty much anything

I did consider it, but like the idea of doing my own . Something to keep me busy through the winter months as I don't fancy laying on a cold floor sorting oil leaks.
Plus I should be able to save aswell .
