I Like the way he has quoted and replied to responses given by other people 7 years before he actually asked his question as if they are replying to his question.....:rolleyes::rolleyes:.

But then I am just a Sad Farmer ............
Funny. Maybe the 7 year old posters were psychic?
All this rudeness over an O ring. What's wrong with people these days.

I must spend more time in the freelander section, seems you guys have some really interesting threads.

@Nodge68 , just do not mention that O ring...... Secret stuff you know.

Cheers

You've obviously had a look around as you've added to an existing thread, not started you own.

You'll realise then that threads on this forum do usually get lots of help and assistance.

Occasionally a post will not get a response. If you give the thread a bump, hopefully it'll get a response. If you give it a sarky bump, its almost guaranteed to get a load of s**t back and that ain't going to help you car start is it?

I'd be surprised if there isn't an FAQ on TD4 starting issues - if there isn't, someone with a TD4 really needs to compile 1 because the same questions keep coming up - which may be why you didn't get a response, people answer the same question over and over.

As has just been said, having replaced the fuel pump/filter - the chances are you problem is a simple little rubber O ring or a cheap bit of wire.

As a start have a look at this (no conclusion yet)....

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/td4-intermittent-teething-issues.305025/

Or this (once again no conclusion yet)...

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/freelander-diesel-2-0-wont-start.304589/

Those are the kind of comments that won't get you any help. We aren't the ones that have a car that doesn't start, you are. If you want help, be nice. If you don't want help, then keep being rude.
Simples
well . I decided to use my superior mind and digest the freelander manual. what a load of crap that was , but I woke up last night and had one of my revolation dreams
and change a little o ring on my high pressure pump . and presto it worked started first time on the button.
just thought id share this as no body else on here seems to have any knowledge at all and are all wannabe mechanics unlike me ,
eat my dust

I think you'll find the o ring was already mentioned by Nodge and Neilly and links to the same posted. Everybody else was just waiting for your superior mind to catch up.
Good to hear you got it sorted tho.

ps wont be using this again as it was a waste of effort so wont be replying to any more crap.
ill be to busy spending time playing with my phantom 4

Yet again ..

I have been drawn back to the Freelander side......

But in my defence you guys do seem to be having the most fun over here.

Cheers

We have to have a bloody good sense of humour here - most of us own 'effing Freelanders !
Some here have to have a certifiably manic disposition also as they own the TD4.....:( :p - Laugh a minute
There are even a few in padded cells that are only allowed out of the strait jacket for a few minutes a day ---

Yeah right. You dreamed up something that LR don't even know about. What a crock of ****e.
More like you researched after I mentioned the O ring in my post.
Enjoy playing with your toy, then get a life.

I couldn't find anything on YouTube either.
I know there are more than 10,000 Freelander owner's throughout the world. But I seriously doubt there'll be 10,000 non starting Freelanders!!. And how does the money come rolling in anyway?

hi guys

did this bloke forget to take his medication or something

if he goes through the land rover forums with that attitude and then has another problem he will have shot himself in the foot :D:D

maybe he's had to now go back to the asylum and managed to gain access to the local internet cafe

know he won't get anymore help so that's his problem
