I have a 2003 Range Rover TD6. It has a mis fire when cold. Onve its warmed up or driven about 5 miles or so it goes, and is great for the rest of the day. No smoke out the back, no EML lights on. Any ideas where i could start?

I've had it at a local independent specialist, charged £79 to be told "no faults found on diagnostic check"....

FFS. No faults. You'd think they'd try to catch the issue and check values for something odd. When my Jag was misfiring there were no faults logged but it was clear something was wrong without a computer telling me!

Not sure what diag works with the L322. Seem to remember a bit of a gap for some years? @saintv8 or @holidaychicken would know.

Physical checks needed, any cracked hoses? Had any work done it recently?
Air flow meter cleaned?
Any diesel present around the fuel filter or injector pipes?
I have a Volvo I had a similar issue. I found the air inlet manifold was letting too much on cold start up and the engine would over fuel according to the lamda sensor readings. Once warm it was perfect. Good luck.

I only know the allcomms is certain vins but basically the BMW years of 2002 - 2005. not sure about the others but i rate it as the 'best bang for buck'
Saint seems to be a little scarce recently.....

the best type in my opinion, maybe he has been sectioned, we shouldn't joke really, i'll message him to make sure he is ok, then we can take the pi$$

Yep Vins 2AXXXXXX to 5A999999 (2002-2005 years)

Yes, noticed that. Holiday? Kids taking over? Or only visiting Defender pages?

Life, unfortunately, had a few things to deal with - nowt to worry about....

Not sure really, maybe he has been cured??

Nah. Terminal case. Probably lying on his back with oil dripping in his face: a Landy facial.

Been doing the heater matrix (again) on the L322, rear diff investigation on the 110, a few wiring 'issues' on the 110, EAS recal on the L322, selling the Bimmer, Fluid changes on both L322 and 110 (so many facials it was a bukkake scene at one point!) and a few niggles with both that have kept me on my toes....chief of which is a couple of rusty holes that need attending to on the 110!!

Pi$$ taking can now continue!
