Budget LED headlights...any good?

I've not ordered yet but there's s little bit of me thinking that something just doesn't seem quite right here. I am waiting for a response from the website enquiry form, plus the facebook person who was promoting the site. It may well be 100% legit, but there's a few things that don't quite add up. Let's see...

LOL, had a look at the link .. and have a question ...

Why would you think a set of decent LED headlights might be bought cheaply from a vendor that mostly appears to sell feckin' cushions ..

.. for VW's ...... ?

If they work, and last, they appear to be a potential bargain. I suspect they'll be sub-standard LED's (there are different grades) and probably won't have the robustness required for a Landy. Which never stopped Landrover using crap stuff, but ....

There's something weird about the spelling on that site too. If they can't be bothered to proofread it, they may not be too diligent about customer service either.

Agreed. It came my way after an individual posted on a Defender group on Facebook, offering the last 10 pairs of lights for £99.00 which does seem very cheap indeed. Their very limited FB profile is not exactly what I'd expect to see from a Defender enthusiast, however I may be wrong. I have messaged and heard nothing back yet. Bargain of the year or a way to get addresses of cherished Defenders...who knows? (and no I have not given mine out!)

To be honest I bought a set from eBay and so far I'm really impressed. Of course only time will tell and only lit up the inside of barn early evening with them so far! I think I paid £90 delivered. They are the type with an orange halo ring that flashes when you indicate.they are even 'dot' approved! I have a video on my YouTube page

mine were about 100 from sp4x4 and are great so much so my best mate is changing his truckle ones for the same.
His reasoning is he will get more for his on eBay and have cash for something else!

I have an issue with SP4x4 .. how come every set of LED headlights has the following statement the descriptions?

"We have been testing these out and had them fitted for over a year now to our own defender which we use mostly on the road and a friends defender who uses it mostly off road and they have performed without fault and really been a transformation both in the looks of the land rover and also the light output at night."

This is on _every_ set of LED lights, from the £100 to the £250 ..... I dislike lies, waffle and bull****, and that they feel the need to do it says enough about them to not give them any business on principle ...
