Hi, I am new to the forum and to the Discovery. I absolutely love mine and have enjoyed changing the transmission fluids, the tailgate actuator and generally getting to know it over my first 800 miles. I am Ggenerally used to sports cars (old Alfas in particular) so it's a revelation sitting up high, seeing the landscape rather than looking at potholes and the rear end of other cars.

Today was really hot and I was enjoying the aircon. I am not used to these as my idea of aircon has been - have a cornetto and wind down the window or drop the hood. When I returned to the parked car I noticed a pool of something underneath, round about where the gearbox is. I gave it a quick taste and discovered it was water. The aircon is working fine, as is the heater, no water in the cabin and the engine temp is fine, the aircon seems fine, although I stopped using it today. Is that water condensation overflow of some sort or have I a problem. If so where do I start?

Thank you

Adam

Its probably just residue from the aircon! Try running the car next time without the aircon and see if its the same result, don't get land rover panic...oh and welcome

We have a Toyota Auris which has brilliant A/C. In this heat that we are having when we stop there is always a puddle of water under the car which is condensation from the A/C. Nothing to worry about.

Hello all, thank you for all your replies, they're very reassuring. I've suffered from ALFA paranoia before and have spent a fortune when I needn't have so these replies have helped alot. I ran the car without A/C on and there was no water.

Thanks for the welcome

Adam
