Hi im after some advice on tyres for my 110. Should I get A/T tyres or mud ones. I mainly use the Landy on green lanes etc, but usually cover up to 100 miles on the road to get to these places. The Landy isnt my main transport and I only use it every two weeks or so. Thanks

The wheels I have been looking at are 31-10.50-15 and I was wondering if these would be an ok size for my landy. Thanks

If its not your everyday motor then put some nice muds on it. But depends how extreme the lanes your doing are.
Your other option is buy a 2nd pair of tyres and wheels and take them to were you going off roading and put them on if your going to be offroad for a long time.

Hope this helps

Stick with the A/T's do you really want to be driving around with a spare set of wheels & tires in the back? If you thnk you're likely to be encountering the sort of extremely muddy lanes where MT's would be needed then you shouldn't be driving it anyway.

I cover around 30,000 miles a year and run bfg muds all the time on the 130. They don't hum too much on the road and have had no issues with grip on or off raod. They seem to wear not too bad on tarmac too. I'd rather replace my muds slightly more often than run the risk of getting stuck (whether on work duties or out playing) and making more mess trying to get out with a/ts on.

Fer 330 nicker, you can get a full set of Greenway machos (235/85x16) on grey modulars, balanced etc. providin you aint goin above 89mph they should be just the ticket. Modulars are out of staock at tyresdirectuk.co.uk until about 10am tomorrow when mine get dispatched...

Hi, I had a similar dilema ended up getting a set of cooper stt muds.I only use my 110 for trips etc but I often have to drive 400ks to get there.Speed limit over here is 110kph so I don't have any probs that way.I prefer to able to cope with most situations. Recently I had the only vehicle capable of bringing my injured lad down from a down hill racing course (helicopter was elsewhere) Comes down to personal preference when it's all said and done

for £250 you can have my brand new insa turbo saharas 235x85x16 same as machos on some nice freestyles alloys with nuts !!!!:)

I prefer 265/75 R16 rather than 235/85s. Only really for the look of them, I dont know if the extra width would make the blind bit of difference off road, although fuel consumption is definately less on road.

The extra width does you no favours in really heavy ****. 235/85 are the size of choice for the serious off-roader, even the 5.0l TVR powered monsters. Alright, BFG MT's on 265/75's might be a better choice with a 7.0l Chrysler V8 that's race tuned ;)

BFG mt will give you off road ability, they do areally good mileage, only trouble get a bit noisy at 60+ mph ., At 70+ I cant hear the engine in my110 V8 The main difefrence between the 235 and the 265 is load rating and stiffness 235 is 10pr , both are surprisingly good in the wet on road.

I have a set of 235 BFG A/T tires on my 110 and they perform really well off road.

I have only been stuck a few times with them, but the mud was so deep it wouldn't have made the difference with a set of Mud tires.
