Hi Everyone, I have a manual 2000 Discovery td5
I know this question gets asked a lot but all the information is confusing and not clear.

Apart from the obvious of needing a snorkel. What else do you need to do.

I keep hearing about wading plugs but I have no idea If a Disco 2 td5 has them or needs them and if so where are they located.

Do I need to extend the breathers? Or up they up higher enough. I am only going to be going up to the top of the wheel arches and I do have 2" lift kit on it.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Lionel

So you intend to also go swimming as well as wading if you intend fitting a snorkel and extended breathers, if you stay no deeper then the top of the wheel rims you may be ok, but check your door seals otherwise... well u knows what's going to happen then.

As for wading plugs just google, manual gearboxes usuall have one to block a hole at the bottom of ithe gearboxes bell housing, so go and have a look.

POETS day again so on my way home earlier

Thanks for that :). Another question if I put the snorkel on. People have mentioned that it might need to be retuned to cope with the extra cool air and that it has to work harder to get the air. Any ideas?
