Hi guys and girls, was looking at stainless exhausts for my rangie, does anyone have anything on their rangie that's smart, don't want anything flash, just nice and smart, and hasn't cost an arm and a leg? As all the systems seem to be in the price of about 1000 quid! Thanks, Tom.

I have the design pack rear bumper which lends itself to alternative exhaust styles more than the standard bumper in my opinion but each to their own. The rear towing eye is a consideration also. I'm still undecided as to my tail pipe choice so I have made some stainless quad pipes as a temporary measure but don't tell anyone ffs

Hahaha, lol!!! I won't say anything holidaychicken! Iv ordered 4 90 degree bends, some straight bar for the hangers, a meter of 2.5 inch straight tube, and two rolled tips, all in stainless so will let you know what it's like and post some pics! Let me know how yours goes tho!

Mine are on, I have all my original exhaust in place which made it tricky to re route the downward pointing exhaust to point out the back and I was weary about fixing the exhausts too rigidly incase the movement in engine mounts caused the headers to crack, maybe just being over cautious.
I made up a split sleeve to go over the downward facing original pipe exit and all the welding I did using a 100 amp gasless 'mig' welder using stainless flux core wire which is tricky so what I have is basically a mock up or cock up depending on your view on moving away from the way nature intended. I am just looking for an excuse to buy a tig welder really;)
I would have just bought the design pack exhaust outlet if I could afford it but I rather like welding and then grinding (not the grinding that tomcat Alan has an app for):)
The towing eye also gets in the way which I could cut off as I have a towbar and let's face it the likely hood of me being towed is far greater than me needing to tow anyone.
Remember keep this to yourself:)

Aslong as it holds mate, don't matter! Sounds like a bit of a pain to me, but bet it looks quite nice, do like them bumpers! I just wanted it to be louder as you can't hear the bloody great 4.4 litre v8 witch annoys me, so I'm just chopping the silancer out and replacing it with straight pipe! And yea I'm using a mig with stainless wire, I work on land rovers for a living, converting tdi's to v8s and all sorts, so used to it all! Hahaha, yea will do! Send me some pics if you want, be nice to see it!

Mine has a bit more growl just by adding the tailpipes but would like a bit more but not too much, I did consider the bypass valve but then lost interest once I had filled the holes up where the exhaust outlets go.
I may have to re register for this forum after this ...

Hahahahaha, well I have done mine, and it sounds awesome, looms smart, and we'll, I'd say 100 bloody well spent! Not too loud, sounds beautiful at low revs, and not too loud at high! And you definitely don't expect to see a rangie making this noise! But don't tell too many people, as I don't think it's been done by many, and it makes mine feel abit personalized! Will see if my usless phone will upload some pics!

can you upload to youtube, would be interested to see / hear it. Have you removed the back box or replaced with an alternative or just the straight through pipes?
