Nope, just nipped over and checked - you don't want it. It came out of an axle that had no recognisable oil in it - kind of grey water and sand by the look of it. I'll be scrapping it.

Someone else on here must have one nearer to you - come on chaps.

If you're really stuck, I've got one here in Surrey.

I've sorted it now thanks !
In got a 300 midi disco that I ABSOLUTLY batter ! Got loads of spare bits and had a spare rear axle. So I took the diff out of that today and counted all the teeth, an it's a 3.54:1 which I need, it's a 24 spline and the oil was all brown and lumpy with signs off water ingress. So I've jet washed it all off and dropped it into a drum of detrol (petrol & diesel mixed together) this afternoon and fitted it. Theirs a bit of play in the flange, but I've driven it home from work tonight and it's not that bad, a bit of noise in 4th gear but it will pull me out of the **** for Sunday so I can use that rather than go in the disco.
So thanks everyone once again, the lady zone forum has pulled me out of it again !
Just a reminder to everyone that cowm quarry (also known as cowm leisure & whitworth quarry) is open to 4x4's this Sunday coming. £25 to do what you want within reason !
Probably plenty of people know about it and going anyway, but thought I'd mention it !
Keep your eye out my me and let me know you've given input on this, I'll buy you a burger if I've got any money left ! Lol

Can't believe my day yesterday !
Rear diff that I had all the issues with was fine except leaking a bit of oil from the flange seal !
Only ended up hitting my front diff pan on a rock and didn't find out till on the way home ! Lost all its oil and locked up on the A627M (what's ****ed me off even more is I have diff guards but never put them back on rushing). So spent 20 mins under it removing the front prop and pulling a halfshaft out of it so it would roll again. Then 3 miles away from home my engine threw a rod ! Heard it a little bit when I left the quarry, but it kept getting louder and louder till it let go !
Good day out though in the sun !

Sounds like you are way too hard on vehicles.

And sorry, I'm not sure you can spend "only" 20 mins to pull a front drive shaft, the CV is in the way.

Go hard or go home. Tis only a diff. Crack on with the repairs till next time lol
Your right ! That's the way to look at things. Its a toy for me, it gets abused, it gets broke, it gets fixed !
It's only money, you can't take it with you ! What's a diff, £50 notes at the worse, the hole will weld up, it's only a crack !

Correct, I pulled the cv joint out on the N/S wheel, left the shaft in there and fitted a blank hub drive flange on the end, as long as one wheel would spin freely and the propshaft was removed and put in diff lock, it will get you home ! I always carry a few things about with me to pull me out of the **** when things like that happen !
The hole in the diff is only small, it's more or a crack/fracture on the bottom of the pan. I took the drain plug out though and not even half a cup full came out of it and I had to top it up to find where it was leaking from. I must of done it as soon as I got there though, Coz it was only dripping ever so slightly and would of taken ages to empty.
Should of put my diff guards back on it Instead of rushing to get it mobile again ready for Sunday !.
I will take a pic of the damage tomorrow, but I wouldn't of noticed it there anywhere it was that caked in **** !

This was my original diff I took out, so you can imagine what the bearing looked like I had to change !
But the 90 for peanuts with bits wrong with it and this was one of the issues on its big list !

It got no wiper spindles or working motor, and an Isuzu trooper 2.8 fitted. Need to dig into the position of the mounts to see if I can throw a 300tdi engine straight in without having to cut and move them
