Just a little one...Changed my non functioning rusty cigarette lighter to a duel USB outlet

Last few days, removed the sunroof and welded plates over the holes, so now watertight, replaced the motor as it was only clicking and wouldn't operate properly so now I've got a fully working sunroof. Replaced the coax cable for the radio, now I've more then 2 radio stations and sorted out the leak at the rear of the roof - I always thought it was the door seal, but it was actually the seal on the outside of the car above the door - Some serious leak there - I would advise people to check theirs If they have water in the boot area. Hopefully now I will have a dry tool box in the boot :)

Any chance of a few photo's of what you did?

Sold it. :(

Gerty is gone, but I made a bit of profit on her so my hours in the garage weren't completely unrewarded. I wouldn't like to count the hourly rate mind you as I doubt it would be above the legal minimum wage.
So now I just need to get rid of my daughters Fiesta and the hunt will be on to replace her. Next time I want a diseasil preferably post 2001 with leather seats and all the toys. I fancy an L series to play with I don't like the seats as much, or the brakes or the rust underneath.

I still have the 04 K series so haven't left the fold completely.

I fitted some bargain priced HSE rear door cards that just happened to come with the Harmon Kardon tweeters left in place, making them a better value.

Realised that my towbar electrics have seemingly been professionally bodged... After realising that I had no indication of trailer indicators and with the knowledge that they deffinitely worked, discovered that the wiring loom had been (very well) chopped and rewired to make them work, presumably to save the cost of buying the 'uprated' relay. Have now ordered the proper relay!

Day off today so the plan was to go to the scrap yard only to find out it burnt down last night! Instead I decided to tackle my rear diff pinion seal oil leak, nope! that flange nut will not move, I even made a locking tool to stop the flange moving but it so tight it bent the bolt. With that idea scuppered I thought I would move on to the vcu bearings, one side of the prop came off like it was laying in butter the other side took 2 hours of wd40 & plus gas + persuding.

So after 7 hours I finally changed the bearings but still have a diff leak :-(

Paid for a clutch/DMF/clutch hydraulics to be fitted (£900 all in, including the devil). At 124K the DMF and hydraulics were pretty hoopajooped, even tho there was a bit of meat left on the friction plate. It now shifts gear like a dream.
