HI all,

I have a mystery that I hope someone can help me with.

I came to the car and the remote would not work. Opened the car and alarm went off, remote still not working. After battery was disconnected for a while the remote worked, but when starter motor cut in the ignition went off and all dash light went out. Then we were back to remote not working!

Stuck with what this is. Could it be the remote/door box in the roof lining? Or does anyone have a clue?

Cheers,

B

Hi, you answered your own question, could be the fob or the receiver at least these are the most common cos it can be a BCU problem too then it's a nightmare... dont you have a second fob? ...untill you fix it you'll have to get hold of the EKA code to make it driveable, or remobilise it with EKA, plug in a dedicated tester and disable the immobiliser

Also sounds like your battery terminals are not tight, classic sign is all power going off the moment you try start it...

Thanks both!

It is definitely not the fob as after car "resets" it works as normal. Will make sure all terminals are on tight and see what occurs
