hi all,
im back after a long time away, bought a td6, after living with it for 2 months ive not got a small list of minor issues that i need to sort, starting with the injectors,
i noticed from when i bought the car it was missing, bargined the price down for this, anyway, inlet was clean, no major smoke just a light blue mist on start up for a few seconds, so i checked continuity on all the injector loom wiring and found no breaks, performed a leak off test, all the injectors were almost identical, thats when i noticed that injector 6 was new than the rest, no rusty nut and different 9 digit codes on the top. i assumed that the previous only didnt code it
so my question is do they need coding as i cant not find a diffenative answer.
many thanks

Injectors don't need coding but the Bosch part numbers should all be the same, try googling the numbers on top and see if they are for your engine 0445 is what they start with I think

cheers, part numbers are all the same 0445110, just the 9 digit coding is different, ive read loads of post saying they need coding and loads saying they dont, scratching my head at the moment

Light blue mist is engine oil not diesel.
Has a precaution ive changed the crankcase filter to the newer bmw cyclone part. The original paper part had a thick layer of crap on it. Am i right to assume that was causing the blue mist . Ive only driven a few miles since changing it so havent really had chance to check if there has been a change
