I just want to make it clear that I'm not a car detailer, I just enjoy cleaning cars to a reasonable standard ...................... and then this happened on Friday;

My mate said to me "Fancy giving my car a clean?"
I said "Of course, no probs".
He said "It has to be done by Wednesday"
I said "Why the rush?"
He said "The photographer is coming on Wednesday"
I said "Photographer, what photographer?"
He said "The one from the auction house"

It turns out that he wants me to prepare his car because he's going to list it in the next Brooklands Historics Auction!

Gulp.
Not much pressure there then!!!

You getting a percentage?

No mate.
I'm doing it for my mate and I love cleaning cars .............................. and his needed cleaning!
What makes it har deris that his is painted in olive green gloss.
It's nothing like mine, (see my avatar), as he's turned his into more of a daily driver .............................. and he's done ****loads of stuff to it.
Leather seats, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, Bilstein shocks & springs, Bridgestone road tyres, sat-nav, stereo, new steering damper,
longer 4th & 5th gear for higher speed cruising and better fuel economy, soundproofing and loads of stuff I can't remember.
I'd be surprised if there are more than a handful of better Wolfs anywhere on the planet!

Here's a couple I took yesterday afternoon.
Still quite a bit of cleaning to do yet!
Any offers?

In my eyes he's ruined it...only in my eyes though. Why take a macho machine and....oh I give up!

Because of all the mechanical mods it's actually really good to drive ......................................... but..................................... I'd sooner have mine!

but this little honey is not for sale!

Better to sell it and start again..............................hold on! Is that what he's doing?
That paint job must have seemed like a good idea at the time. Bet he lost some sleep the night he got it back :(
In the present market, it'll probably sell well though!

The second wolf looks good.

The first one

1. Paint shade is all wrong. Clashes with the roof
2. White highlights look ghastly
3. Light guards look bodged on

However seats look nice.

Just paint all the white bits the same green, it will look alright - but not a replica.

It's not meant to be a replica because it actually is a Wolf.
I tried to persuade him to do the white bits black, along with the wheel arch trims.
