Arse!
What do you guys reckon? Wire brush or heat gun? Zink primer and satin black finish?

get it powder coated, Excel in Mildenhall are pretty cheap and do a hard wearing slightly textured finish that they do for a few off road parts companies and Safety Devices roll cages who are on the same estate.

Wire brush on a grinder is old hat, and hard work. Bits of wire stuck in everything in a 10 metre radius like arrows, melts and smudges paint rather than removing it. Try a poly wheel instead. Quicker, safer, quieter. Not great for rust but there's always Fertan.

That old powder coating is good to begin with but rust will soon bubble up under it, I'm not a big fan of powder coating. I did think about galvanizing it.

Fair enough, it's possible to powder coat stuff where it doesn't flake off, excel have al kinds of techniques, especially if you get it hot galvanised sprayed first by a guy in Hockwold that does hot blasting and galv coatings. Things improve........

Is that Garner Blast in Hockwold?

Not sure if his name, but he is almost next to the base at Feltwell on the main road, he did some blasting for me a while ago and got sprayed galv
