hi guys, I have put a p38 gems engine in my 90 I have had the ECU programmed to delete the immobilser function and have wired a ignition relay main relay and fuel pump relay.

Before having the ECU coded I had no EML obviously because it was immobilized, now I do have the EML coming on but it doesn't start, the fuel pump is coming on for a few seconds at ignition on and then while cranking.

How is the coil powered? Is it through the ECU or should there be a power supply somewhere? I feel I miss something in this area but not sure where. The earths are all connected as far as I know, well from ECU at least and the engine has a good earth

Also I can't find a home for this plug, it's just behind the coil pack not sure if it's related

That looks like the plug to the coil packs, coil packs work by having a 12 v feed and the ecu earths each pack when firing, so 4 earths from each coil pack to ecu as it's wasted spark, and a live to the four coil packs

Thanks, this plug seams to be for the rear o2 sensors

My starting issue looks to be because I have no rpm signal
