2.5 na hot starting

hi, i have a ex mod 110 2.5 n/a, it starts great from cold, once its warm and i turn it off, it wont restart for 10 mins, then starts like normal, the glow plug light comes on and the other lights dim when i turn the glow plugs on, so I'm all most sure I'm getting power to the starter, has anybody had similar problems?

It's not turning over when it's hot ???
That's not the same as not starting when it's hot.
Check the small terminal on the starter motor, they can get a bit heat baked and crusty.

no it doesnt turn over when its hot, i will check that first thing in the morning, thanks for the help

Hi oldseadog I've cleaned the white connection and it made no difference, I'm going to take the starter off and clean it all , first of all I have fix a wiring problem that seems to be taking up all my time

Do you get a click from the motor, or is it dead?
When you turn the switch to 'start' do you have 12V at the solenoid end of the White/Red?
Is the Brown from the alternator connected to the motor?

when its warm i dont even get a click, i will have a quick look at the wiring this afternoon, just been replacing the melted fuse box and trying to get the hazards working, making slow progress now
