I've just got it through MOT and ready for the new year and can't open the tailgate without forcing the glass out of the upper housing, as the window won't go down at all. Also the wiper and rear window heater aren't working either.
I've had the back panel off but can't see any broken cables - then again I ain't any kind of expert so wouldn't know what to look for.
I tried to calibrate the window using a thread I found on here ( which eventually I managed to access), The rear door opened along with all the horn etc testing fine, but the glass remained up - didn't budge at all.
I've tried putting pressure on the glass but it won't budge. The back door is opening fine and opened when I did the calibration, again the window didn't move. The latch makes all the right noises and opens the door but the window doesn't drop at all like it should. Just get the 4 beeps from the dash switch.
Any suggestions welcome.

on your cubbybox console there are the window toggle switches do any of them work okay. if the yellow one is in that isolates the rear doors passengers. The tailgate might have some damage to the wiring loom causing the ccu to think it down and preventing the water and wiper to work. or the toggle switch has failed for down. not to sure if the windows switch are all the same so you might be able to test that way.

The rear isolator switch is fine, both back door windows go up and down and don't when i use the switch. I've had a good look at the wiring and can't see any damage. I've checked the fuses under the steering wheel, are there any others i can check?

Might be the toggle switch have you tried with the fobkey at the tailgate door and key to see if the problem still there. If that okay then possible switch has failed. I think the door window switches and the tailgate are the same just labelling.

Unfortunately my fobkey doesn't work since my mrs gave it a wash in the machine!! The dash switch beeps 4 times when pressed down and after 3 presses up it beeps 4 times.
Stupid question but should the key in the tailgate turn both ways, mine only turns to the right?

couple of tail door window electric circuit diagrams attached ..
download them onto computer to view full size ..

Nowt wrong with a stupid question to a northerner the key will only go to the right and return to the top position. Pity about the fob but you might able buy a cheap one on fleabay. As I mentioned you might be able to test by swapping the window switch for the tailgate switch. The wiring diagram will help a lot in search a fault with a multimeter or test bulb. Alternative would be to isolate the connector to the tailgate regulator motor and hook up a spare battery to see if the motor works correctly.
