Disco 2 Urgent Urgent Urgent

I need a coolant header tank for the td5 D2. We are supposed to be pulling the horses tomorrow but the damn header bottom fitting has broken off.

If anyone has one close to sheffield i will come collect. I know its xmas day etc i can post the cash thru ketter box and collect from door step if it makes it nore bearable!!

Gonna have one unhappy mrs if she cant go hunting!!!

Yea the bottom pipe fitting has basically fallen off and it wont hold water

Can't you bodge it somehow using some good quality two part epoxy or putty?, it's only 1.4 bar pressure there, something like this http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/epxy_putty/overview/Loctite-Repair-Putty-Multi-Purpose.htm should last few days

I bodged the radiator on my old patrol once with that kind of putty and it was leakless after a week when i received the new one , worth a try in the absence of other option, use that bond then tape it well around with duct tape to consolidate it... IMO if you are doing it well it should bring you through the holidays

Not got one myself but I know Stuart at LRX Off-road has a couple of Td5s in for breaking at the mo. so would be worth dropping him a line. Tbf the only thing likely to **** off the Doris more than not being able to go would be to be stuck on the side of the road with a box and horses

Strength could be improved if you can use mesh (any sort) imbedded in the epoxy and wrapped around the tank.

Might not look pretty though but I imagine that's not a concern right now.
