Clutch

Hi all I'm positive that the clutch on my 2003 discovery is on its way out its still smelling after a run out doesn't seem to slip but it smells as though its burning the thing is when replacing the clutch wot do I replace to get it right 1st time and where to buy one from and Iv got a lot of play in the steering its defo the box is there a quick fix if not do I buy a 2nd hand recon or new any help will do

could be a oil leak, or brakes dragging. play in steering could be worn parts, have the front end checked

if your clutch is not sliping burning smell may be brakes go for a run a fu miles walk arund and all wheel hubs pos stiking caliper had one on mine.jeff

Check tranny brake drum to see if you can fry eggs on it.

As for the steering are you sure it's the box? Small amounts of play in the joints add up quickly.
