2nd gear hard to engage FL 2 Manual

Had vehicle just over 3 months now and i have only one issue with it thats slowly getting on my nerves. When moving from 1st to 2nd i have to virtually force gear stick to engage especially moving off and especially when entering roundabouts where concentration should be fully on road.no issue going down the gears.i have tried various techniques low revs,hard pressing clutch also not doing my kneecap any good.
Has anyone any had this issue and resolved it.

Is that an expensive job ?

Not sure I'll have a quick look into it for you

New gear change turret is around £75+VAT (LR034102) and labour is around an hour.

The other thing to check before replacing this part is the ball joints on the selector cables and gearbox - the cables should move freely on the balls and the balls should be tight (20Nm)

Maybe a spot of grease could help solve it and it's cheaper

I had the same problem with mine. I used white spray grease on all the linkage points, this made a big improvement but didn't last all that long but what I did then was to change the gearbox oil and wow what a difference smooth gear change up and down, I did this over two years now and it's still as smooth now as it was then. My car was on 60k at the time so did all the oils at the same time.
