P38A Overheating Problems

Hi folks. I have an overheating problems on my rangie. Is a 4.6 HSE bosch injection system. When im in trafic and open the AC the engine begin overheating, and after some time in trafic there is no more water on the water tank. I have belend the air from the engine but... the same.. I have checked the thermostat, water pump, and all are ok... When begine overheating the water come out from the water tank. and from the pipe on the top of radiator after a while come vapor and not water, When the engine is cold from that pipe come water and there is no sign of air from that pipe when water come out. Cold be the head gasket ???? How can i check??? This problem ocure always when im in traffic...not in the highway...

could be hg or cracked block or poor cooling,check rads hot all over, is fan working

Check viscous fan is working using newspaper test first.

then pull your spark plugs n see if any are steam cleaned.

My rad is ok... and viscos fan to... How can i test the head gasket???

OK.. but how you can explain that the rangie dose not overheat on hills...

you asked how to check for hg failure not for an explaination of why it over heats in certain conditions

are the air conditioning fans cutting in ?

Yes the fan of AC in front of radiator works ok...
