Finished my 4.5m 35mm2 jump leads for the Anderson connector at the front No more having to unbolt the rx8 seats to get to he battery

Drove it from Ruislip to Cheshire on Friday and back on Saturday, towing the horse trailer - never missed a beat apart from the red ACE light coming on when crawling slowly in traffic. Turn the ignition off and on again and the light and bells went away.

Nearly chopped me fingers off fixing the front window mechanism

Fixed one of the rear seat belt that wasn't working properly, and did a load of work to hopefully make it harder to steal.

Finished cleaning all the chassis up, now all solid, rust treated and had its first coat of paint.

After repairing the shed roof and painting 100sqft of black goo on it. And then repairing two taps in the house. I sat in a deck chair at each corner of my 110 and changed indicators and side lights for LED assembly's. Good news that all worked. Bad news was corroded self tappers in many of the old units. The reversing light assembly fell apart in my hand ( and its replacement hasn't arrived yet) and there is an intermittent earth problem to the front left lighting units.

Finally got around to switching the transducer on the transfer box over to the old fashioned mechanical type and reconnected my speedo.

Spent a little time doing some electrical work. I have ordered a dashcam so was doing a bit of preliminary wiring for it so I have an ignition switched live ready and waiting for it. i put another relay under the driver's side seat, triggered by an ignition live, with the main supply coming from an auxiliary fusebox I put behind the seat a couple of years ago. The dashcam's feed will go up the B post, round the headlining and come out somewhere near the mirror mount. That way it has its own fuse and relay and doesn't involve training wires to a lighter socket. Then I put some p clips in to tidy up the wires to my inverter and extra lighter socket, and put a dab of solder on my crimp-on connections, because otherwise all the vibration makes them come lose.

Sat on the roof n repaired the roof tent

Drivers seat squab was getting a bit tired, saggy and with a few rips in it. Thought I would treat the old girl to a new one. So I did!

Put t'front propshaft back on (coming off again tomorrow to cut and a rounded nut off)
took r'rear propshaft off,
took t'rear 'alfshafts out in prep for changing t'rear diff tomorrow
changed UJs on t'rear propshaft (needles were dust in t'old un)
put some engine oil in to keep t'engine going 'til I get round to getting new oil filter
had a run about in 2WD to see/hear any other funny noises - front diff isn't far off

s'all shiny and new (my first time doing this as well)

Today was a reasonably productive day!

Measured preload and fitted shims on the V8, preload is now 0.040", smack bang between the required 0.020" -> 0.060".
Fitted new vacuum hose from servo to inlet manifold (still waiting on that).
Fitted new fuel pump into tank and sorted out some fuel lines, got one more to replace before clipping it all into place.

Hopefully can get the boot floor supports in tomorrow then the boot floor can go back down! Then the interior goes back in! Can't wait.

Driven it to Wales for the weekend. I'd show you the route according to my nice new tracker but I haven' got the screen capture software in my laptop yet. Never mind, another day perhaps. It's not really Land Rover related, but I'm feeling pleased with myself about a couple of other jobs i did this evening. I changed the cutter drive belt on a ride-on mower, and it's cutting away like new. It was easier than I expected. I also fitted a new light on the landing of the house I'm staying in, which looks really good.

Started doing the prep work for fitting my mud stuff panels... Lots of drilling which isn't my favourite thing but they're all ready to fit tomorrow

Did a couple of tip runs for a friend with my 90 and trailer

Fitted the panels! My hands hurt and I hate drilling but I did it

Following on from last week I replaced the broken reversing light and fog light with LEDs, interior lights have now arrived, but they'll have to wait until the centre roof console is fitted and wired.

Took it for a weekend away in robin hoods bay

Twiddled the drop link ball joint, wished I hadn't. There goes Saturday and probably Sunday *sigh*
