tyres

what tyres do you guys recommend fitting to a v8 disco facelift, 255 55 18s. have a pair of hankooks on the rear with at least 7mm left but one of them has gone pear shaped literally and because it is 6 years old i cant claim. so i am going to replace all 4 and have been offered some continentals at a reasonable price but wondered what you all use. thanks for listening

Weird place to post this. And there may be a thread on tires somewhere.

I use Toyo Open Country AT's - great tyre, about £120 each. More aggressive tyres are available, but it depends upon what you want to do with the Disco (extreme off roading or a bit of green laning). Any reason not to get 4 Hankooks? Don't know much about Contis, but are they really so much cheaper than the Hankooks? All 3 are reputable makes.
