Disco 2 Oily Exhaust Emisions

Hi All

My D2 with EGR valve removed and De-Cat splatters my caravan with an oily/sooty residue when towing. Is this to be expected given the mods listed or is there something wrong? Car seems fine & normal in other respects.

Oil out the exhaust usually means turbo as oils getting thru it and out the exhaust have you checked for play or to see how much oil is getting thru the intercooler

I don't lose any oil, car gets clean bill of health when serviced and it has been doing it the same for 2 years - would that still point to Turbo trouble?

I would have said that having a working EGR would encourage more splatter: Have you seen the bliack crap it wants to dump back into the inlet??

probably more soot than oil

Could it be condensation mixed with soot like the others are saying and your only seeing it before the systems warmed up and burnt it off?

Ok,that is normal,so juust get an exhaust chrome tail pipe,that points to the ground,that way the exhaust fumes will not spoil the paintwork.
