Disco 2 New wheels.

Having made the sad decision to scrap my old 300tdi disco due to extensive rust. I've rejoined the world of the green oval with a Disco Td5. It's a 2001 ES in Oxford blue with the beige leather interior. I want to check if it has the diff lock internals and add that if possible and then use it as a green lane and camping work horse. Pics to follow.

2001 - it "should" have the internals. Check if there's a spigot suitable for a 10mm spanner sticking out of the top of the transfer box - you'll have to crawl underneath and get grubby! Welcome to D2 ownership!

I've been grubby before. My dad had a lightweight until I was about 15 and I've had a D1 for the last 6 years. Haha.

Haha. It's my work car park. Already clipped the height restriction sign with the cross bars. I took them off the next day and it fits just fine now.

So, spent sunday removing the cracked and split standard bumper and replacing it with a winch bumper and fitting the winch. Its wired into the starter battery at the moment until i get round to buying a split charger and fitting kit for a second battery. Still need to trim the grille around the winch but its almost done. Pics to follow.
