Dear All,

so i was hoping to sell my current series 3 and get a defender 110, then i realised i am in the LEZ (by 1 f'in mile).... now im unlikely to find a defender that is classed as an estate and im not really keen on a csw, my series has 2 bench seats in the back and no windows on the side so no idea how the previous owner got it registered as an estate.

Now my question to you is, if the lez say 'land rovers don't comply cause cause its a van' ..... can you simply not say well i'll get it tested then?

Because am i right in saying if a 300 tdi in a disco is passed and doesnt effect LEZ then surely a defender 300tdi van will pass with out a dpf (diesel particulate filter)??

Now the other thing is cause i hate the government so much for their stupidity :fighting2: whilst at uni i might look into designing a particulate filter that bolts into the defender exhaust system and doesn't cost a fortune.. what are your opinions?

Please do reply :(

Regards,
RV

or you could get a diesel registered as new on or after 1 January 2002

Are you sure i got a quote for insurance on a 2003 defender td5 my premium was £500 on top of what i have to pay for the year, i dont think ill be gettin a V8.....

Insurance will likely be cheaper if you buy an older V8 land rover and get it insured on a classic policy.

My 110 V8 costs me 80 quid a year fully comp.
