Fuel reg switch

Evening all, I'm in the process or trying....to fix my fuel regulator which is leaking. I have the two hose version with a big electrical socket held in place by a metal clip . I would be grateful if anyone could give me. An idiots guide on how to remove this clip and socket as my landing is getting old an frigile and I can't afford a connector break.
Also .....any advice on fuel nose removal ....they are supposed to be qui release
But they don't seem to want to budge.....

push the metal clip fully in, I give them a squirt with wd40 before trying, then pull and wiggle, it should then come apart

yes

with the fuel hose. 1 came of easily but the one going to the fuel cooler was difficult. i eventually unbolted the fpr completely and then removed the hose.
