New (and excited) Landrover (sort of) owner!

Hello there,

My wife and I just bought a Freelander2 TD4 SE yesterday, I've always coveted a Land Rover (ideally a Defender 110) - we weren't in the market for a new car, the lady who drive into and wrote off my wife's SEAT had other ideas!

So here we are at the foot of the mountain of Land Rover ownership, I drive a MINI and love my forum, I hope this is the same sort of place to learn, share and natter endlessly about our mutual passion!

I'm sure there'll be lots of questions in the future - my first is arm rests, has anyone retro fitted one - any recommendations, suggestions warmly welcomed!

I used to have a mini as well, seems a few of us on here have a mini/landy love!

I'd love to come along, however, that's the same as the MINI L2B and I'm afraid I'm already signed up for that jamboree!

I do love a meet so I will make an effort to attend future gatherings

So we picked up the LR this afternoon, looks like it might need a new LCD display as there are some dead pixels square in the middle :/

Otherwise it was a brilliant drive back, great smooth car, very comfy, lots of bells & whistles and a nice high vantage point

Our driveway currently looks ace - two of my fave car marques parked shoulder to shoulder (well the MINI comes up to the LRs ankles!)
