Security Marking System by Retainagroup

I recently researched into vehicle security marking and found the company below. So I thought I would share it on here after the company said they would extend the deal to our members.

Three years ago they did a special offer through “Land Rover Owner International” magazine and they still have some of these kits available. I have purchased one and it’s all very good professional laser cut labels and stencils, using glass etching, UV and self-etching labels, along with 2 warning labels for the windows.


For £35.25 I now feel my Discovery is a lot less attractive to thieves and my vehicle is now recorded on the ISR register along with my details. This is transferable to a new owner if you sell the vehicle.

That's great I'm going to buy one! I'm trying to stop mine being taken by amateur thieves and that will only leave the professionals, they will take it regardless of all the security you have, but I am going to make it worthless as parts aswell!!

Its a great kit have your Reg number and chassis number ready when you ring them to order.

I fitted the whole kit inc etching my windows in under an hour.

Thanks, seen similar on eBay, cheaper but less visual, a visual deterrent is best!!

One quick question, is the number plate displayed on the labels?? I hope so! If it is I will buy it!!

No its a unique code they say "like a finger print" as its this code along with your details that goes on the security register. It is transferable to a new owner if you sell the vehicle.

Using a code does not effect things like private number plates that will not stay with the vehicle.

Remember you get self etching labels for panels (wings doors etc) plus the UV ones that even if they get removed leave a UV label still there.

Hi it's done! My only thing is that a number plate is instantly recognisable to the vehicle and everything else on it!

Here are the pics from mine, shown below is the window etching and self-etching panel label, there are also the UV ones on the plastic parts like dash, steering wheel etc, all major parts are marked saying they are registered.
