Front calipers

I am looking to get a new brake caliper for my os ( drivers side ), but when I look at places to get it from, the websites don't really say what side the are for, is it the case it doesn't matter. thought it would, as the seem to be a mirrored version of each other, and if you was to switch them round then the brake pipe inlet would be in the wrong place??

and also, there are 2 different types of pads, ones with the little spring thing in the middle and one without, and the ends of these pads are different too. as when I ordered a set last year, got sent a set with the spring attached and they def do not fit on the caliper which I got on my landy.

I have a TD4.

anybody have input?

Calipers are handed. Part numbers are SEG100260 for RH and SEG100270 for LH.

Pad part number is LR021899 or SFP500100. Genuine pads are approx £40 plus VAT (try and get some discount from your LR dealer!) and make less dust and are quieter then non genuine pads.

daft question, you refer to rh and lh side,,,, depends if that's from sitting in driving seat or standing infront of car looking at it, is RH offside say?

The side of a car is always described as though you are sitting in the drivers seat. So LH is nearside, RH is offside. Hope that makes sense.

I agree too left is nearside to the kerb
and the right is off side of the kerb
if sitting in a right hand drive vehicle in the uk as we drive on the left
lol

If you get the wrong one your bleed nipple will be pointing to earth
