it was probably originally much cheaper but they have revised the listing after running out of stock to a price no one would buy it at. Its a common practice on ebay.

as above, but also iirc by taking it down when you've run out you lose lose your 'ebay serps' ranking

Just beware tho, It's actually illegal to use them for fuel.
What is a jerry can? A guide on how to legally store petrol - BBC Newsbeat

well i'll be ................

never knew any of that, I have often filled 4 cans during the current (20p p/l) and past fuel promotions at Tesco to get the maximum fill - 100 litres - and driven it home stuck it in the garage etc. Diesel too as my s3 isn't allowed on the road.

If my chevy is empty than I'm ok as it has a 36 gallon tank :D

When do tescos do that then?

its on at the mo, started last year and has been extended till may, for every £50 on groceries you spend you get 2p off per litre to a max of 20p (100 litres max fill in one go) then you start the next chunk. Our grocery spend usually gives us between 28p and 36p a month so one 20p fill and another 8 to 16. the wifes runaround only has a 10 gallon tank and the s1 is less than that so I take the jerries to make up the difference

Hang on , so you get 20p off 100 litres?
I thought you meant 20p a litre, I just bought a dozen of those expensive jerry cans thinking id be quids in anyway.:)

Not sure about the current promotion, but, previous promotions have also specified no jerry cans... it just depends on the staff on.

I've been turned away for just wanting to fill two before as you technically need a licence for carrying that much fuel :/
