Recommended parts suppliers

Hi all

My Dad is cracking on with his 80" Series One rebuild at the moment (no pics I'm afraid although his repaired bulkhead is pretty good) and needs to get some parts. He has ordered from a few different places and they have generally done well but some of the other parts are proving more difficult.

Can anyone recommend a good parts supplier that will supply quality parts and not just BritPart rubbish?

Parts he is looking for are:

Left and right swivel housing 217282
Nut 217355
2x Tab washer 217353
Key washer 217352
2x Retaining collar 217398

We've used Dunsfold and they are really good, but they don't sell swivels as the quality of the last lot they got was poor.

Land Rover Spares, Land Rover Parts, Landrover Parts, Landrover Spares are a good source for some things like brakes.

I often try to use famous four as they sponsor this board, however, I don't think they do much in the way of s1 stuff, more the later series

the series one club do a fair bit of stuff but I think you may have to be a member to order

I've had two sets of swivels from on from Paddocks and the other Craddocks - they are both Britpart ones but seem to have been ok so far. On my daily drive they've been on for three years and haven't disintegrated yet. The other pair have gone on the project and looked ok.

wish my s1 was as clean and shiny as that one

lrseries.com seem to stock both OEM and genuine LR for all those part numbers so they look like a good option. I have ordered lots from lrseries.com and all is good

OEM doesn't really mean a lot these days, why not trry Land Rover? You might be hard pushed to get series stuff but you never know.

you wont get pre series 3 parts from main suppliers including lr
