Evening all. Will here, from SW Wales.

Just picked up my first ever Defender (1991 90, 2.5tdi) after driving plenty of average vehicles over the years. I will be asking all sorts of inane and irrelevant questions, so keep an eye out!

The old girl has had plenty done to her, but still has plenty more left to do (rear crossmember being one big one) - I've dubbed her the money pit.

Here she is -

Cheers lads.

Hopefully find some time this weekend to have a proper once over of it, take it for a proper spin, clean it, buy some bits for it... you know!

And there was me thinking it may have been lifted in some way! I've got a lot to learn it seems.

Here's a few more photos..

Am I right in thinking these are Suzuki wheels? From a Vitara?

Congratulations boyo. Looks quite tidy from the outside.

So does it need a rear xmember or just patching?

Cheers butt! New xmember I reckon. I'm going to be towing a horse-box with it at some point so a whole new unit makes more sense to me.

However, some audio is first, driving in silence just reminds me of how many squeaks and rattles I need to fix! Hoping to get something up above the windscreen, but not having much luck finding anything!

And heated door mirrors eh? Maybe one day!

Thanks Dav.

Towed a cattle/stock trailer yesterday with two Shetlands and a small horse/large pony in it with no problems whatsoever.
