Been watching this site for a while so thought I had better join.
Purchased a 2002 TD5 Disco Nov 2013. Body and chassis sound due to all the oil leeks. Bought as a project to do over a couple of years but ended up doing more work than expected over the following year. Now running in after engine rebuild and conversion to Evans waterless coolant. So many new parts and mods but it is now running smoothly and is a pleasure to drive. Well, it is back to a project vehicle with more upgrades and replacement standard parts planned but she will be well used for my tips around the mountains of Wales and carrying stuff for our small holding.
Well I have learnt a great deal about my Disco over the past 12 months and although it has not been plain sailing I have acquired a great deal of knowledge about TD5 engine and it's foibles.
I am now looking forward to joining in some of the forums.
