Dim rear light

noticed that my drivers side rear light is quite a lot dimmer than the passenger side ..... (04 facelift)

Took the light out and found quite a bit of water in there. Dried it out , cleaned the inside and put it all back together....... It is still a lot dimmer than the other side........just wondering if there is a reflective surface in there that has been damaged by the water ... Or am I missing something ??

might be a dirty connectors on the back of the lamp.
did you clean the bulb with a bit of lite sandpaper (not the glass)

the water has probably done the reflector part in as it does do.

Yes...... Cleaned all the contacts........

Swapped the bulbs over and drivers side still not as bright so must be damage to the reflector .... Bugger

I replaced mine as it leaked and all the silver coating inside was gone

A good used one of ebay solved the dim light .
